This distinction adds to the beaches of La Roda, Cap Blanch and managed by Marina Yacht Club.
The Councilor for Infrastructure and Beaches, Ferrer Roque, reported the distinctive quality and service given for the first time as a Blue Flag beach of the Breakwater, which adds to the wheel, Cap Blanch managed by Marina Yacht Club Altea.
The Valencian Community has obtained six new blue flags this summer, reaching 135 awards, according to the Association of Environmental and Consumer Education (eco). The Beach Breakwater, recovered recently, consisted of a half environmental restoration of coastal front of more than 600 meters, to which is added the promenade that leads to the mouth of the river Algar. This urban beach enjoys a privileged position in being the most central area of Altea, on the promenade and very close to the old town.
The criteria for a Blue Flag beach must meet are the information and environmental education; water quality; environmental management; and security services. Features of Breakwater Beach, La Roda and Cap Blanch comply fully.
In the words of Roque Ferrer, “obtaining this new award for the beach and breakwater maintenance of other flags hoisted beaches, is a recognition of the management carried out by the team that makes up this council. “
