Great stars of the Ballet in the Palau AlteaAfter the absolute successes of the past 5 editions, Russian Masters Ballet comes back with a completely new program for Stars Gala. Having so much ballet stars together is something that happens rarely, principal dancers of some of the best companies in the world such as Mariinsky, Bolshoi, Dutch National Ballet, Bavarian State Ballet and Aalto Ballet will take part in the show.

 

The Gala, which has already become which has already become unmissable for ballet lovers, will be held year in the Palau de Altea and will feature the most famous artists and followed of the current scene: Anna Ol, Igor Tsvirko, Ekaterina Osmolkina, Alexey Popov, Aidos Zakan, Diana Kosyreva, Semyon Velichko, Evgeniya Victory González and many others.

 

It is for sure a unique occasion to come close to the dance world along with the best and discovering the different stages and styles through which this kind of dance has been going throughout its history. With a complete program that goes from the legendary choreographer Marius Petipa, with fragments of “Corsair” and “Diana and Acteon” to contemporary pieces. You will also see fragments of some masterpieces of the s. XX as “The night of Walpurgis”, “Talisman” or “Carmen”, among others.

 

All these pieces performed by the guest stars will be accompanied by the dance corps of more than 70 young dancers and the best students of the Russian Masters Ballet, the first and only official course of the Vaganova Academy and a world reference of intensive dance ballet courses.

 

In short, a complete and high quality show that surprises and dazzles the audience year after year. 
 
 
Cast
Anna Ol, principal dancer of the Dutch National Ballet, she is one of the most recognized figures in the international dance scene. Winner of numerous competitions like Grand Prix Galina Ulanova and Arabesque Competition, among others and regular guest artist in international galas.

 

Ol has danced with the State Ballet of Siberia, the State Opera of Tatarstan, the Mikhailovsky Theater of St. Petersburg and the Stanislavsky Academic Theatre of Music and Nemirovich-Danchenko in Moscow, playing all the leading roles of the classical repertoire and working with choreographers such as Jiří Kylián, John Neumeier, Natalia Makarova, Kenneth MacMillan, Jerome Robbins and others. In 2015 he joined the Dutch National Ballet as lead soloist.

 

Igor Tsvirko, main soloist of the Bolshoi ballet in Moscow, one of the main theatres in the world. He graduated from the Bolshoi School and joined the company in 2007, rapidly rising thanks to his high artistic and technical level. Since then he has danced main roles in all the productions of the prestigious company.

 

Boris Zhurilov, graduated from the prestigious Vaganova school in St. Petersburg, is a member of the Mariinsky Theater company since 2006. This theatre is the most important in Russia and one of the most recognized worldwide. With him he has danced solo roles and has performed in the best theatres in Europe, America and Asia.

 

Ekaterina Osmolkina, first soloist of the Mariinsky Theater. She was graduated by the Vaganova Academy and she is member of the Mariinsky Theater since 1999, Ekaterina is an Artist of Honor of Russia, winner of the Vaganova-prix competition, winner of the International Ballet Competition of Seoul, awarded with Golden Soffit, the greatest theatrical recognition that is given in Saint Petersburg. She has danced roles of all the great ballets of the repertoire and she has made numerous international tours.

 

Ivan Zaytcev has been member of the Mikhailovsky Theatre in St. Petersburg since 2011, which is one of the best theatres in the world. At this company he soon became the main artist. His repertoire includes both solo and main roles in La Sylphide, Le Corsaire, Cipollino, Don Quixote, Laurence, The Flames of Paris, La Fille mal gardée, and Class Concert as well as Nacho Duato’s productions of Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, Nutcracker, Multiplicity, Forms of Silence and Void, Prelude, Invisible, and White Darkness. Ivan has been on tour with the Mikhailovsky Ballet Company in Japan, USA, Germany, etc.

 

Alexey Popov is currently the first soloist of the Bavarian State Ballet. He was graduated from the great Vaganova Academy of St. Petersburg and also he has been member of the renowned Mariinsky Theatre for several years. Popov was the winner of Yuri Grigorovich Competition “Youth Ballet” and he has performed in a dozen countries.

 

Aidos Zakan was graduated from the Vaganova Academy in St. Petersburg; he has been a soloist in companies such as the Musa Dshalil theatre, the Mijaylovskiy Theatre, Saint Petersburg; the Theatre Stanislavski- und Nemirovich-Danchenko, Moscow and Boston Ballet. His repertoire includes a wide variety of leading roles and he has been awarded several prizes in the Vaganova Competition, Arabesque Competition and International Ballet Competition of Korea. In December 2015 Aidos joined Aalto Ballett Essen as a soloist, where he currently remains.

 

Semyon Velichko is currently the first soloist in the Dutch National Ballet. After graduating, Velichko joined the Opera and Ballet Theatre of Novosibirsk directly as a principal dancer, where he played leading roles in all the ballet performances of the theatre. In 2011 he was invited as a principal dancer to the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theatre.

 

Evgeniya Victory Gonzlaez, dancer graduated from the Royal Swedish Ballet School, she performed several roles in Royal Swedish Opera during her training. From 2015 to 2018 she was a dancer at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg. Since April 2018, she is a dancer at the State Opera of Bavaria. Among her awards are the first prize in the international competition “Jeune Ballet Mediterranean” and the third prize in “The Nordic Baltic Ballet Competition”.

Diana Kosyreva, after graduating with honours in the Ballet School of the State Dance Academic Theatre of Moscow, she was admitted to the theatre company, where she reached the maximum rank as lead soloist. She danced all the great roles with this company until she joined, in 2013, the prestigious Bolshoi Ballet, where she currently remains.
