XXXVI EXHIBITION OF CONTEMPORARY CRAFTS
From April 17 to April 21 from 12 noon to 10 o’clock at night in the Plaza de la Iglesia you can freely access the craft show. This show is much more than a market, since it will connect you directly with the bohemian soul of Altea.
This year the craft exhibition is already 36 years old and you must walk through the Plaza de la Iglesia and the streets of the old town is always charming, but in these dates more … You will perceive the delicious aroma that comes from the restaurants and a very calm and pleasant atmosphere.

Throughout the year many free guided tours are organized in Altea. If you want to spend a different day and get away from the routine, come to Altea.

-Tuesday, April 16: “Route Cap Blanch i els Arcs”. Meeting point: Tourist Info Altea. Start time: 10:00 h. Duration: 2 h. Difficulty: easy-moderate. Recommendations: comfortable shoes, hat and water. 50 people maximum.
-Wensday, 17 April: “Meet the Old Town of Altea”. Departure from the Tourist Info at 18:00 h. Duration: 2 h. Difficulty: easy-moderate. Recommendations: comfortable shoes, 50 people maximum.
– Thursday April 18: “Know the Old Town of Altea”. Departure from the Tourist Info at 10:00 h. Duration: 2 h. Difficulty: easy-moderate. Recommendations: comfortable shoes 50 people maximum.

VIA CRUCIS
It will take place on Thursday, 04/18/19 at Portal Vell at 23:59 h. in charge of the theater group Pla i Revés.
This religious act, which is celebrated every Holy Thursday, is a staging of images represented by a group of actors on the streets of Altea. It is also worth mentioning the charm of the procession of the Santo Entierro, which every Holy Friday at around 8 pm takes its route through the streets of the old town. Streets that are overflowing with neighbors who accompany the religious images and tourists who crowd in the crossings of the streets to see the descent of the procession.
