It strengthens the cycle of Early Music and Baroque with its third edition
The Councilor for Culture, Zaragozí Diego, presented the third edition of the concert series ” Ancient and Baroque Music ” organized by this department and will take place from 25 to 27 May. Zaragozí Diego was accompanied by the director of the Conservatory of Music of Altea, Juan Tomás Laviós.
The councilman was delighted to celebrate this third edition of ” consolidating this activity devoted to classical music, which has a significant influx of public earlier editions and is another example of our commitment to music and impetus from the Department of Culture. ” This year the performances will take place at the Parish Church, the Church of San Francisco and the House of Culture. In this sense, Diego Zaragozí noted that ” these areas are best suited to the characteristics of the musical groups that participate, ” referring to the previous concerts taking place outdoors on the streets of several Altea.
For his part, Juan Tomás has detailed Laviós concerts and musical groups that make up the program of this series devoted to the music of the fifteenth century. On May 25, at 20 pm, the Church will host the concert
Signs of trumpet soloist James Anthony with a project called “Light of the Baroque” which accompany an octet string violin made by Herminio Ortega Alba Signs, Requena Ana Maria Kodarenko; violist Anatoly Melnychuk; the cellist Rosa Vidal Orengo and Moses bass Parejo.
One of the novelties of this edition is the celebration of concerts in the Church of San Francisco. The church ” low ” or ” Convent ” as it is traditionally known, will host the May 26, at 12 pm, music by the Camerata Aitana, under the direction of Jose Asensi V., who will perform the concert ” Sacred music in the Baroque. ” Camerata Aitana is composed by soprano Tanya Duran; High Diana Muñoz; tenor Antonio Gomez; low Boni Carrillo; Vicente Antón violin; the cellist Francisco Pastor and keyboardist Toñi Llinares.
The conclusion of the series will take place on the 27th at 19:00 at the House of Culture with performances by the Chapel of Ministrers (soprano: Delia Agúndez, viol: Carles Magraner and viola and guitar Robert Houses) will perform “Almas dichosas: Dances, songs and improvisations tiempos del Quijote”. Admission to the concerts is free. From the Department of Culture Altea and visitors are invited to participate in this activity that brings in classical music and old.
