Alteatre
During the month of July in the Plaza del Agua, the 21st edition of the National Amateur Theatre Festival, Alteatre, will be held on Saturday evenings.
The theatrical programme for this year’s edition begins on 1 July with “Pere i el Capità” by the Zorongo company from Bétera; it will continue on 8 July with the play “Angoixa” by the Ambfiteatre theatre group from Gandía. The third play, scheduled for 15th July, will be “Las Picardías de Moliere” by the company Associaciò de teatre Pànic Escènic from Quartell. The programme closes on 22 July with “Estrés” by the company Associació Maçateatre from Barcelona; and 29 July with “El Joc” by the local group Pla i Revés.
Tickets are priced at eight euros per performance; six euros for online purchase, and a season ticket for all five performances costs 25 euros, or 20 euros for online purchase. The capacity of the venue is limited to 150 people per performance, so the organisers recommend that you buy your ticket as soon as possible.
Música a Boqueta Nit 2023
As usual, on Thursdays in July and August at 21:00h we will be able to enjoy different concerts. Tickets are on sale at the Casa de Cultura, at www.alteacultural.com and one hour before the performances in the Plaça de l’Aigua. Capacity is limited to 200 people
Concert programme
Thursday 6th July; Thursday 13th July and Thursday 20th July, “Música en Clau de Blau”, which are the three concerts offered by the different groups of the SFA and the region. The first concert will be given by the Bandeta Jove de la SFA. On 13 July it will be the Big Band Taller Ateneu La Vila, an innovative modern music project. And on 20 July a new group born in the heart of the Altea conservatory, the Bandeta La Criança, will make its debut.
Thursday 27th July, “Three Bells”, made up of three great trumpet players from different fields and who are premiering their project.
Thursday 3rd August, “Marina Big Band: Latina”, from Denia, led by the singer Eva Olivencia, with a long career as a jazz singer.
Thursday 10th August, “Esther”, a singer-songwriter with a long career who brings her project “les cartes que mai vaig cremar”.
Thursday 17 August, “Mouloud el Meskaui” with North African music.
Thursday 24 August, “Conecta Percussió”, a percussion group with two promising young musicians who have already won many competitions and are on scholarships at different studios.
Thursday 31 August, “Cucumpá Orquestra”, a Latin music project whose members live in Altea and the Marina Baixa.
Finally, the head of the area and the musical director of the project have encouraged the people of Altea and residents of the region to enjoy the concerts presented by the 16th edition of Música a Boqueta Nit.
Tickets are priced at €9 for single tickets at the box office and €6 if purchased online. The season ticket for the performances from 6 to 20 July is 15€ and 12€ for online purchase and the season ticket for the performances from 27 July to 31 August is 35€ or 28€ if purchased online.
